Customer Review: great gift for a great not-quite-kid!

Bought this item for a precocious 11-year-old girl. She loves it. Now her mother wants one to replace her (suddenly clunky) digital camera. This is an easy-to-use camera with several fun features (good zoom, video clips), petite & cute to boot. These things never seem to run long enough on a charge - guess you're supposed to buy spare batteries for when you go on vacation? - but it will last through a long day of sightseeing. Pictures come out quite nicely despite the obviously limited experience/expertise of a preteen working with her first 'real' (non-disposable) camera. This as the major gift helped make it the 'best Christmas ever' in her view.
